First you may be wondering what WIFD stands for. Well it means Week in Feminine Dress, its were you dress feminine for a whole week and post pictures what you wore to encourage others. My latest design...

May I present to you my latest design. A 4-gore skirt with a ruffle. But this ruffle isn't your average ruffle. :-) The middle panel, of both the front and back, is higher by 4" then the panels on the side. Giving this skirt a one-of-a-kind look.

  

For the skirt pattern, I just used a basic vintage skirt pattern and adjusted as needed - which was greatly. Did some math to add the ruffle and then you are finished!

Well my dear readers, here is my "What I'm Wearing" post for this week. My outfit is on the spring side, featuring the "it" color of this year - turquoise. Why am I wearing a summer dress in the middle of the winter? Well, it has been very cloudy, foggy, and dreary around here lately and I needed some color! =)

What I'm Wearing- Gabrielle Renee

Hello my dear readers! I hope you are having as enjoyable a week as I. :) I am sorry to say that I haven't had time to do the sewing I have planed yet this week- I hope to do it later today. ;) I am also excited to tell you that I have something special planed, and, Lord willing, hope to reveal it later this week. :) But that is another post... :P

8 Ways You Can Wear a Sweater Dress

Sweater dresses are cute and comfy! Though, you have to be careful in the fit. As it took me awhile to find one that wasn't form fitting, or too short for my taste. But I finally found one while I was on vacation. It was at the Polo Ralph Lauren Outlet, and it was on clearance.

Once I was back from vacation, I experiment with accessories and was able to come up with eight ways to wear a sweater dress. Here are my results.

Plain Basic Sweater Dress

Wearing  this type of dress plain doesn't look the greatest. It can make you look unflattering. And who wants to look like that? Not me! I want something that will look flattering on me! So on to the accessories!
